We have entered the "Year of the Ox" 2009, and again JR Cape can look back on a successful year 2008, in Europe as well as in Asia.
Despite macro economic difficulties marked by tumbling stock markets, the worldwide financial industry crisis as well as high inflation rates in most of our key markets, JR Cape mastered sustained organizational growth as well as an increase of projects worked on, and last-but-not-least further development of our international client base.
Many of our clients have developed into repeat customers, reflecting a high level of mutual trust and customer satisfaction with JR Cape professional services.
Beginning of 2008 we executed our plan to take a first step into the Korean market: JR Cape Korea Branch was founded in the 1st quarter of 2008. Lead by our senior consultant J.W. Kim our new entity already reached break-even within the first months of operation.
Greater China as well as South East Asia remain strong JR Cape markets, and we have further invested in our regional organization in order to meet increasing demand of our professional services and to fuel future growth.
Our core market in Europe is Germany. JR Cape Deutschland has had a profitable result in 2008, growing side-by-side with the overseas operation.
Our team in Hamburg has grown significantly, supporting the stronger demand for JR Cape executive search services in the German speaking region.

Having singled out a specific market niche with relatively high growth potential after the expected turnaround in the industry after the crisis, JR Cape established a new entity in Germany in the last quarter of 2008, targeting the financial market segment`s increasing need for financial services sales professionals. Our next addition to JR Cape Management Consulting Group will be a new web portal, an expert pool of (expatriate) Asia managers. The web site will offer an easy tool to specialists and senior managers with Asia Pacific expertise, to benchmark their profiles and to be directly linked to JR Cape`s executive search practice for possible future consideration in our exclusive senior management placement projects.
JR Cape will further follow the set strategy of expansion into relevant markets, however we will keep up our service and result focus by putting quality on top of all our doing. As we follow these lines when pursuing projects together with our clients we do the same internally, during development phases of the JR Cape organization. We will take cautious future steps into other markets, based on our valuable experiences in the past.
With a successful year 2008 having passed and many challenges before us we are happy to enter the new year with a grown team of JR Cape researchers and consultants, to further enhance our professional services with regard to specific local and regional requirements.
